Another week has skipped its way across the calendar, which mean it is time for today’s Friday Five.
First, I want to say a special thank you to all of my readers, those of you who have been following this space for years and those of you just joining us. Thank you! It means so much to have you here.
This week I wanted to let all of you know about five places where you can connect with me. Blogging is one of the things I love in life, but believe it or not social media is really growing on me, too.
Here are some ways we can connect:
1. The Dynamo Rhino
Did you know I had another blog? Yes, my family and I started The Dynamo Rhino, named after one of my daughter Lucy’s favorite toys, earlier this year and it has become a fun place to chronicle our homeschooling adventures and a journal for my thoughts as a homeschooling mom.
I do to check in at least once a day with the Simple Kids facebook page and I always enjoy the discussions we have over there. If you aren’t already a fan, I’d love it if you would join me over there.
Probably my favorite form of social media, curating my Pinterest boards is so inspiring and fun for me. I’ve got boards for kid stuff, boards for mama stuff, boards for home stuff, and boards to make my inner nerd happy, too.
Next to Pinterest, I’m most active on Twitter. I tweet about recent blog posts, favorite finds from around the web, share instagram pictures, and take part in Twitter chats. You can find me on Twitter as @SimpleKids.
5. Contributing for Simple Mom
This year Tsh asked me if I would write about our family’s journey toward becoming debt free. I was initially so nervous to share about our financial ups and downs on SimpleMom.net, and I still get butterflies before every post, but it has been a great way to connect with readers and to be inspired by our shared experiences – both the victories and the setbacks. I always appreciate seeing your familiar names in the comments over there, too.
And, we’ll call this a bonus sixth and seventh place to connect with me, over the summer I finally figured out my way around Google+ and I’ve been a long time Ravelry user (for all of you knitters, crocheters, and fiber lovers out there).
You can also email me Kara AT SimpleKids.net but be warned, I’m always days (and days) behind on my email, ha ha!
Have a fantastic Friday, my friends! I hope you and your kids had a terrific week and that a relaxing and fun weekend lies ahead for you. Check back tomorrow for a fun giveaway from my friends at Target (hint: it has something to do with my favorite back-to-school essential).
