Block Party Giveaway: Mama Goes Green – LunchBots and LunchSkins

Welcome to the Simple Living Media Summer Block Party! We’ve got 20 giveaways across the entire network this week to give you plenty of chances to win!

This giveaway is now closed.  The Winner will be announced on July 4th!  Thanks to everyone who entered.

We are celebrating this sizzling season with some hot giveaways! Our friend and virtual neighbor Mama Goes Green is kicking off the block party by giving Simple Kids readers a chance to win a wonderful gift package.

If you’ve been reading Simple Kids for a while then you know that we are big fans of eco-friendly lunch containers. My family has been using LunchBots stainless steel reusable containers and Lunchskins reusable bags as an alternative to plastic.

These containers have been traveling with us on family outings, long car trips, and, of course, in our lunchboxes.

I appreciate that they are dishwasher safe (top rack), are healthier than using plastic containers for food storage, and that I don’t have to spend money buying plastic baggies or lunch containers.

They are stylish, with a simple design that appeals to grown-ups as well as kids. The lids of the LunchBots are bright and colorful with a non-VOC finish. The lids fit tightly on the containers, too (though I wouldn’t use them for liquid storage).

The Lunch Skins are made from a German fabric that is certified as food safe in the US and Europe.  They are hand-sewn, well made, durable and bpa, lead, and phthalate free.  I may never buy plastic baggies again!

My girls are sandwich freaks. This would come in so handy for car trips to see the grandparents right now. In another year, my oldest will be ready for school, and I already know she will NOT be eating the hot lunches at school! :o)

We’d LOVE to win this package! I don’t think we have any total favorite lunch items, but we always bring home made lunches because I have an IBD that doesn’t allow me to eat out anywhere. We’d definitely get some good use out of it!! 🙂

  14. As long as the weather is nice, I like to be out and about with the kiddos! I always bring food along with me, especially lunch so that we don’t have to stop anywhere, and I don’t have to spend a ton of money when we have perfectly good food in the house. Our lunch is usually leftovers and these containers would be great! Our current containers take up a lot of room in the diaper bag, and the lids are worn out from use. I love the way these containers look, also.

  33. My son’s favorite lunch item is hands down his PB & J. Every day. All year. That’s all he wants as his main food item. I avoid plastic like the plague and would love to win this package.

  34. suzanne bateman says:

My kids love ham slices and cheese chunks! I would for sure use the lunch boxes and bags everyday to go have picnics in the park!

  35. Our favourite lunch is what we call The French Picnic lunch – bread, cheeses, meat, fruit and sometimes a small piece of chocolate. I would use this system
    for summer picnics.

  36. My son loves raw veggies of all types and adores spinach pizza with black olives . Interesting taste for a three year old, but I’m not complaining.

We have to be pretty flexible about what we take since we never know where we’ll end up for a good lunch spot, and I love how these products would make packaging healthier, easier and really cool!

My boys favor opposite spectrum things. Little guy would be happy with PB&J and an apple for the rest of his life, while little big man is happy with hummus, fruits and veg and bread to dip.
.-= Darcy´s last blog ..Flax Seed coming in to Substitute for Egg… =-.

  47. My daughter’s favorite lunch is my version of one her favorite restaurant salads: Southwestern Salad with Chicken. The salad would fit perfectly in one of the larger containers, and the blue chips she sprinkles on top would fit perfectly in the snack bag!
