Welcome to my new readers and to those of you returning to this space! Once a week I like to sit down and share with you some of my favorite things.

Here are this week’s worthwhile reads and lovely things …

Books: ever since she found out he lives in Indiana, Jillian (age 13) has been wanting to read John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars. It finally became available at the local library and she grabbed it up. She’s been enjoying it, especially when the characters are at local landmarks that she knows.

Welcome to my new readers and to those of you returning to this space! I seem to be doing some online spring cleaning and I recently decided to make my personal blog private, for a variety of reasons.

I may bring some of those topics over here to Simple Kids, including opening up a bit about my struggle with parenting and depression IF I can figure out a way to write about that topic that is still authentic to my voice and to the mission I have for Simple Kids.

In the meantime, one thing I knew for sure I did want to bring over to this space are my weekly-ish Worthwhile Reads and Lovely Things posts. These are some of my favorite posts to write and I think you guys will love them, too. (Similar to Weekend Links, for those of you long, long time readers).

Thanks for joining me for the first ever Simple Kids version of WRLT! Now, let’s get to the good stuff!
