Veggie Tales giveaway: and the winners are …

Veggies in Space giveaway - 4 winners! Ends 4/19/14 | SimpleKids.net

MMy apologies for being so quiet around here.  We’ve had a few hiccups behind the scenes and for a few days it wasn’t possible for me to post.  Thankfully, in large part due to the efforts of a certain Oxenreider who takes amazing care of Simple Kids and all of her sister blogs (hi, Kyle!), things are just about back to normal around here.  Hooray!

Also, I want to give a quick shout out to all of you who have emailed or messaged me via social media to let me know things were not quite right here on the blog. I really appreciate you looking out for me like that.  Thank you!

So, let us catch up on some old business, including revealing the names of the Veggie Tales winner.  And the winners are:

  • Jen Dowler
  • Debbie C.
  • Gina S
  • Michelle

Congratulations! Be on the lookout for an email from me telling me how you can claim your prize.

Thanks to everyone who entered.  My son Max especially loved having a chance to make his YouTube debut.  I’ll have another giveaway for one of our favorite things coming up later today, so be on the lookout.

Best wishes,

Kara

In the movie Veggies in Space: the Fennel Frontier, Bob and Larry share an out-of-this-world adventure with an important lesson in sharing.

My son Max, age 7, has been really interested in the vlogging I’ve been doing lately and he asked if he could make a video, too.  I thought this would give him a perfect chance to do that, so here is Max the movie critic with his two minute thoughts on Veggies in Space: the Fennel Frontier:

SPPP on tour intro post

Well hello! It’s Melitsa from Raising Playful Tots and I’m super excited that Kara has kindly let me share with you about a little project that will help you take your intentional parenting and play a positive step forward! Yeah!

We know planning works. We plan our holiday. We plan our menus. We plan our budgets. We’re a pretty intentional bunch. But what about planning our play and our family actions?

During the summer, my boys were running down their enormous list of ‘must dos’ and ‘I wish we could dos’ that you do on a warm summers day. Soon I was doing the same- all the places I wanted to take them and things I wanted to do as a family. But there was no where to really catch all these ideas and in true Star Trek – Jean Luc Picard fashion- “Make it so!”

Play is often the first thing that gets squeezed in our lives and it’s easy for the good ideas and intentions to go on the back burner if we don’t have a place to let them take shape- grow some wings and fly or wheels and roll on out!
