Jillian and I had such a wonderful time at Crafting Community earlier this month.  In case you missed it, I shared some of the details of our trip in this post from last week.

I’ve got some fun news today:  the folks at Crafting Community have offered a tote bag full of amazing goodies to a Simple Kids reader!

  3. I have been desperately looking for craft ideas for my young boys. So far, any kind of painting is their favorite.

  4. This would be great for our home schooled kids at home. Thanks for offering such a great give-away!!! So far, we have been doing some fall fun from pinterest!

  5. Yesterday we got into the fall spirit and built a scarecrow (Farmer John) and carved a jack-o-lantern with our 3 year old. Quality time with mom AND dad was her favorite part of the day, as we reviewed the day’s events at prayertime right before bed. My favorite part was homemade hot chocolate with her post-scarecrow construction party.

    My daughter is into stickers and stamps right now, so we’ve been doing Halloween multi media art with paper, stickers, stamps, crayons, markers and anything else we find!

    We have an ongoing project of making stepping stones for pathways outside our house too and enjoy putting found items in as décor!

  14. Our fave crafting project right now involves kid made modern tape projects–they use it to make all sorts of projects and just to simply tape anything in sight!

  26. My son goes through phases but right now he is into playing with paint. Not so much painting… but mixing colors mostly. He is very creative where I am not so I am always looking for ways to help him build his creativity.

  27. We are really into making luminaries out of Mason jars! The boys love gluing things to them and seeing what they look like in the dark!

  28. We just made stained glass pumpkins with contact paper, tissue paper in several different colors and craft paper. We love doing creative fun projects!

  31. With two 2and under we are all into sensory tubs! Right now cinnamon/maple salt tub.

  32. We are into recycled cardboard stores and buildings that my girls make on their own along with maps and restaurant menus.

  33. i remember when you did this last year too..I would love to take my oldest son with me to a craft weekend. we would both love it! it is our best activity together, making things and doing arts and crafts. i actually emailed crafting commuinty directly to see if they would ever consider doing an event in the nyc area? it would be awesome. thanks for your whole blog. i really get a lot out of it…thanks! tricia

  37. My three year old loves anything that involves cutting, gluing or glitter. If we manage to work in all three she’s in heaven!

  38. Our current favorite family craft activity is working on our Halloween costumes and Halloween decorations.

  39. My DD has been making canvas art for her room. I have spent a fortune in paints and wrapped canvas :)

    Wow, what a great giveaway! This time of year we are all about the seasonal crafts from painting with autumn colors to making “thankful trees” with cutout leaves that we write on what we are thankful for, etc.

  41. Lots of drawing and painting right now. About to soon take advantage of the leaves falling in our yard!

  42. Crafting Community looks like sooooo much fun! We’re pinecone collecting lately, trying to decide what to make with them. Or maybe we’ll keep them as-is, in a bowl on the nature table. I’m not quite ready for pumpkin carving yet, though, so we’ll play with the pinecones a while longer! ;)

  45. My kids have just learned to finger knit and it is all they want to do these days! Wool felting has also been a highlight of our fall season!
