We're keeping out focus on the reason for the season. It gets harder each year. I'm scaling back on gifts this year and learning to focus more about the reason for the season. We're making more of our decorations & gifts and choosing to buy more handmade items as well. Still, they're still a need for some bright & shiny gifts under the tree {My husband isn't quite ready to give up on store bought gifts} and I have a knack for finding great gifts, That's why I publish several gift guides on my site, Kids Stuff World and offer to find the perfect gift for the hardest to shop people on your lists as well. I don’t have fancy or necessarily educational gift ideas but I save those silly chain mails people send around that are lists of this and that. There are usually favorite things of all types on there so whatever I lack in expense or effort, I usually get points for thoughtfulness. My sister was wonderfully surprised last year when one of her gifts from me was a box of Cocoa Pebbles! Inexpensive and easily accessible.
