At the end of 2013 I started giving myself Monday Missions – easy tasks to do and gentle reminders for the week ahead to help make things simpler for me and the kids. It turns out that what helps me also helps some of you, so I dusted off my YouTube channel and have begun to record some simple vlogs for you.
So, here we are, grab your morning cup of coffee and join me for five minutes of parenting inspiration as we begin our week:
This week, every day, get down on their level and really connect one on one with your kids. Play, hang out, talk, and let them share with you what they are interested in.
I’d love to hear how you and your kids are connecting this week. Legos? Books? A few minutes over milk and cookies after school? How have you been spending one on one time with them?
It doesn’t take long to make a lasting bond. Just a commitment to a few minutes a day will go far.
Have a great week, friends and have fun with your kids!
(Can’t watch the video? Head here to YouTube to check it out and I’d love to see some of your familiar faces subscribed to my channel there, too.)
Have you heard the news? The new baby play ebook Zero to Two was released this month and it is full of ideas for play and learning from infancy through the toddler years. Find out how to pick up your copy here.
