My boys love playing with Zoobs, Legos, and Tinker Toys. The Zoobs are the most creative fun of the three, I think. It’s all about imagination.

Some of the objects that I can see my son (who just turned 4) enjoying while playing and thinking at the same time are: puzzles, board or card games, blocks, books. Another thing he uses a lot –is his imagination. He has a ball with his big ideas and creations. I’m sure I can think of some more things, but it’s late!

My kids are all very different in how the approach playtime. I love that about their personailites. I think my youngest dd is very intuitive with her approach to play – there seems to be an enormous amount of ‘things’ out in her area, but when i step back and watch – each thing she has gotten has purpose within her play, i learned to not worry about the mess and enjoy her imagination. And my youngest son, he is a builder and loves his Thomas, so for him he is all about creating the towns – and playing with the autos/trians….he has also just developed a real interest in puzzles…love that!

My son is 18 months old now and he loves playing with magnetic letters that are on our fridge. He likes to put them in order.

My son loves the usual creative manipulatives like play-doh and legos. But he's also fond of taking shoe strings and "plugging" them into play telephones, our TV, and his toy dirt devil. Cayce’s last blog post..Open Houses

My little guy loves to play with boxes….climbing in them, on them, stacking them…..it’s a amazing what he does with an empty box.

My older sons ages 6,9 & 10yo love to use wood scraps to hammer/nail together various creations.

Definitely art supplies or role playing with doll houses, trains, legos, etc. Also, anytime they are given wood or even cardboard boxes…they can create just about anything!

I love hearthsong and I have wanted all of these toys for a while now!!

My 18-month old is a fanatic for pretend play lately. He loves to wear his little apron and play with his pretend food and pots and pans and it gets even better if i let him use the real ones. He stirs and even uses a hot pad to take off the lids of his pots!
He also loves to build with his blocks- and of course knock them down again!
His other favorite activity is playing in the water at the sink. I’ll fill up one side with warm soapy water and he scoops and pours and measures. He would do it all day if I let him!
