Welcome to Simple Living Media’s Home for the Holidays! We’ve got 25 giveaways across the entire network this week to give you plenty of chances to win a great gift, just in time for the holidays.

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you!

Today I’m giving away a $100 Gift Certificate to Gussy Sews!

Gussy Sews is the creative brainchild of Maggie Whitley, aka “Gussy” as she is affectionately known.

I am a happy fan of this wonderful shop of hand-sewn bags and accessories.  I was drawn to the lively patterns and the adorable ruffles.  I think you’ll like Gussy’s work, too!

If you’re looking for handmade gifts for the women and girls on your list, or if you’re looking to treat yourself, this shop is a good place to browse.

One of my daughters and my niece are each are going to receive a Gussy Girl purse under the Christmas tree this year.  I have several of the small zippered pouches (I couldn’t resist that super fun houndstooth print) that I use for my cell phone, ipod, and to keep my smaller knitting tools in.

I think Gussy Sews embodies the idea of something being useful and beautiful (and fun!) at the same time.

Learn more about this charming shop and how to win the gift certificate.

Gussy is self-taught and I appreciate what she says in her bio about her sewing being the result “…of having a big enough passion to learn who, what, where, when and {most importantly} why behind sewing.”

As someone who aspires to a better relationship with her sewing machine myself, I certainly admire that attitude.

I think Gussy’s  Christmas stockings would be lovely this holiday season.  Many of Gussy’s products would make a nice gift, of course, but would also be a fun treat for yourself.  I know that I’ve got my eye on the laptop bag (Santa, are you paying attention?)

One Simple Kids reader will win a $100 Gift Certificate to Gussy Sews!

Treating myself…not much in the way of what I consider treats, but I’m volunteering at Operation Christmas Child this week, so we’re eating out. Does that count? Hmmm, maybe I need to think about this…

The last time I treated myself was when I bought myself some new shirts for Christmas. I haven’t been able to wear them yet of course-so this would make for a much better treat!

Oh, this stuff is so cute. The last time I treated myself? A few weeks ago I decided I wanted a book on a lark and loaded up my four little ones and went downtown and bought it. That is a real treat — going to the bookstore for a grown-up, non-parenting book. Plus I marched straight to the book and then straight to the counter, no looking around, no time for meltdowns. What fun!

Tina

Hmmm…can’t remember. That’s not good!

Karen

I treated myself to a 2 lb box of expensive chocolates from Chocolaterie Stam’s about a month ago. And I didn’t share. :D

Today! I’m always shopping for the kids, but I ran to Ross today to buy a dress for a “holiday tea” event I had tonight, as well as my husbands upcoming work party. I’ve been pregnant or borrowed things the past several years. I was excited that I was able to run in w/ 2 kids in tow, grab 5 things off the rack, try them on really fast and walk out only paying $12.99 for a cute dress! :o )

cheryl

I’ve “liked” both things on fb.

Piper

Today. The hubs and I stopped by the grocery to pick up a few things… we walked out with two grande Starbucks and chinese take-out. Good thing we had just worked out!

Sara

Today! I bought expensive, high quality vitamins to help keep me healthy and energized this winter.
