Let’s Celebrate Simple Kids and Fantastic Children’s Clothing!

in giveaways

The month of June brought an exciting milestone for Simple Kids - we have surpassed the 1,000 subscriber mark! What an incredible honor to facilitate a community of people who are drawn towards the philosophies and practices of “uncomplicated parenting.”

To celebrate this amazing milestone, I am excited to be able to partner with CWDkids who is offering a very generous giveaway just for you – the Simple Kids community.

4th09giveawayCWDkids is a children’s wear company devoted to “dressing kids like kids.” Earlier last spring when my oldest daughter (age four) began wearing size 6 clothing and I had to start shopping in the girls’ department rather than in the toddler section, I was unhappily surprised by how inappropriate many of the outfits and designs are for older children.

CWDkids offers clothing that features timeless and simple designs that many parents are looking for, and much of their selection is made right here in the USA. I know I was thrilled to see the 100% cotton pajamas they carry in sizes up to girls’ 14 – do you know how hard it is to find 100% cotton jammies past the toddler sizes?

Here in the States, we are gearing up to celebrate out nation’s independence on July 4th.  CWDkids provides an extensive Americana collection for boys, girls, and families that would be perfect for wearing all summer long.

To further demonstrate CWDkids’ commitment to meeting the needs of their customers, they have started a blog called kidbits where they showcase deals of the day, feature CWDkids staff profiles, and solicit reader feedback on upcoming lines and catalog covers.

So, on to the giveaway!

CWDkids is offering a $75 gift certificate for one very fortunate Simple Kids reader! All you need to do is click over to the CWDkids website, choose a favorite patriotic or summertime outfit, and share what your favorite find in a comment here.  If you have an extra moment, you should consider subscribing to the kidbits blog so you can be in the loop on one day only sales and coupon codes.

The CWDkids giveaway will run from today, June 22 until midnight on this Friday June 26th, and I will choose a winner at random on Saturday, June 27th.  One entry per household, please, and only comments which mention a CWDkids product will be eligible for the drawing.

Happy shopping!

I used to get their catalogs! Don’t you think my boys would look awesome in those patriotic Wes & Willy tees like the peace superman and guitar one?? Would love to win!

Steph

Sara Taylor

I love the patriotic peace sign t-shirts for boys and the one with the guitar too. So cute — I am really particular about what I put my son in and I love those!

That Dot Capri set is darling. I totally understand what you’re talking about with girl’s clothes. Even toddler clothes! I’ve seen way too many ‘hoochie’ outfits in sizes 18 and 24 months too. Seriously, my toddler doesn’t need low rise jeans.

The firecracker tie-dye shirt is so cool. I also like the R2D2 t-shirt.

I love their clothes, and so do my kids. For my son, I would choose SS Peace Sign Tee.
For my girls, I would have to let them choose! They love picking out their own stuff, and I don’t have to worry that they will pick something inappropriate when ordering from this catalog.

Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!

Love the “patriotic planes” tee for boys!

Carrie

The air show tee is too cute! Thanks for hosting the giveaway…

I’m really digging the Crab & Lobster tee-shirt and matching swimming trunks! They’re sorta patriotic and beachy at the same time.

Cute clothes! I have never heard of them before and will be checking them out. I love the flag tee that lists all of the states!! How cool! Also like the Crabs and lobster tee and the Peace tee.

Jen

I would love to pick up some rash guards for my daughter to keep her protected and cool in the sun!

Jennifer

I love the Brother/Sister line! The Giraffe dress and t-shirt…the leaf print dress and shorts…the striped sailor dress and trunks…I cannot decide, can they all be my favorites???

Carmen

I love the striped Watermelon dress. My girls would love these! Who doesn’t love watermelons on July 4?

Cynthia

I love the boys’ t-shirt with the peace symbol in the American flag design. It is patriotic and yet communicates a peaceful message.

heatherly

I just love that red embroidered tunic! So cute.

Beth @ Red and Honey

Cute stuff! I love the giraffe tee.

I had a hard time choosing. My favorites are the Poppy dress and the pastel pink Polo dress. Both are so summery to me!

Natalie@Naddy's Blog

Fun site! Loved their matching daughter/mama outfits, I would definitely get the Infant Toile Dress and Bloomer, and then I’d get the matching wrap skirt and top for me!

Kelly Feinberg

OK, I let my 1 year old son pick and he went for the Giraffe Tee. I also like the jammies and I love the delux lunch box. I didn’t look at the girls’ clothes, but I’m going to have to go check out the toile wrap skirt:)

Jenni Carlisle

I love the Madras Ruffle shirt for my little girl and all the tshirts for my little boy!

Leigh

Ha! I picked out a tie-dyed shirt, then saw the madras, and was wondering of you could wear them together, when I noticed that the site had them paired together on the same page! So my son’s summer outfit would be the madras shorts and a tie-dyed tee -http://www.cwdkids.com/servlet/quagga/boys/product.jsp/_qprm_/browse?groupId=19495&itemId=K181&cat=boys-seasonal

Jenn @ Beautiful Calling

I completely agree with your statement about inappropriate children’s wear. My oldest is two so I haven’t run into it first hand but just seeing what young girls are wearing nowadays makes my head spin!

I like the Toile dress and of course the mommy wrap skirt. We would look sooo cute! The lightening but T and dress would look darling on my son and daugter and Chloe LOVES lighening bugs. If I skipped the toile dress set, I would also get the giraffe smocked dress and T with the lightening bug set but if I win I really would have to sit down and figure it out better :) They sure have a ton of cute clothing!!!

Kara

The cupcake dress couldn’t be cuter!

Kelly @ Love Well

I am possibly the biggest sucker for summer clothing in the history of the world. As such, I think the watermelon dress for my 7-year-old is too cute for words.

Kelly @ Love Well’s last blog post..My Dad

Kate

I love the Big Dot tank dress and the Smocked Dot dress. I love dressing my twins in coordinated but not matching clothes. this site is going to get me in trouble!!

Cheryl

I love the watermelon dress as my 4 year old is into dresses and she would definately go for the star clogs – as it has a heal on it. The fish tee and star swim trunks would be great on my little guy. As my daughter is also a 4 year old in a size 6 clothes and size 12 foot it begins to be harder to find cute clothes for her age. Love this blog.

Gabriel

Cool Contest!
I love that so many of their shorts for boys have elastic waists as my 3yo refuses to wear ones with zippers, buttons, or snaps. I think I’d pick some simple shorts and one of the Americana tie-dye tees for him.

Erin

Hmmm….decisions, decisions….there are several things that I love….the superhero tee for a little boy, the watermelon dress or the bubble dresses for a little girl. I really LOVED the brother/sister outfits. I am always searching all over for coordinating outfits for my two littles around certain holidays. I thought the giraffe dress and boy outfit were super cute!

SaraR

Oh my, I’m in love already. We have yet to move out of the toddler department but I’m not looking forward to it. I really love the watermelon dress. I may be biased but I think my girls would look simply delish in them.

Missy

Thanks for sharing, I was unfamiliar with this company! Love, love, love the girls’ smocked dresses, especially the dot fabric!!!

Aimee

My son is a little foodie in the making, so I would love the lobster T-shirt for him!
