Let’s Celebrate Simple Kids and Fantastic Children’s Clothing!

[really_simple_share]

The month of June brought an exciting milestone for Simple Kids - we have surpassed the 1,000 subscriber mark! What an incredible honor to facilitate a community of people who are drawn towards the philosophies and practices of “uncomplicated parenting.”

To celebrate this amazing milestone, I am excited to be able to partner with CWDkids who is offering a very generous giveaway just for you – the Simple Kids community.

4th09giveawayCWDkids is a children’s wear company devoted to “dressing kids like kids.” Earlier last spring when my oldest daughter (age four) began wearing size 6 clothing and I had to start shopping in the girls’ department rather than in the toddler section, I was unhappily surprised by how inappropriate many of the outfits and designs are for older children.

CWDkids offers clothing that features timeless and simple designs that many parents are looking for, and much of their selection is made right here in the USA. I know I was thrilled to see the 100% cotton pajamas they carry in sizes up to girls’ 14 – do you know how hard it is to find 100% cotton jammies past the toddler sizes?

Here in the States, we are gearing up to celebrate out nation’s independence on July 4th.  CWDkids provides an extensive Americana collection for boys, girls, and families that would be perfect for wearing all summer long.

To further demonstrate CWDkids’ commitment to meeting the needs of their customers, they have started a blog called kidbits where they showcase deals of the day, feature CWDkids staff profiles, and solicit reader feedback on upcoming lines and catalog covers.

So, on to the giveaway!

CWDkids is offering a $75 gift certificate for one very fortunate Simple Kids reader! All you need to do is click over to the CWDkids website, choose a favorite patriotic or summertime outfit, and share what your favorite find in a comment here.  If you have an extra moment, you should consider subscribing to the kidbits blog so you can be in the loop on one day only sales and coupon codes.

The CWDkids giveaway will run from today, June 22 until midnight on this Friday June 26th, and I will choose a winner at random on Saturday, June 27th.  One entry per household, please, and only comments which mention a CWDkids product will be eligible for the drawing.

Happy shopping!

  1. I like the States Flag Tee. It’s simple and patriotic. I’ve never heard of this catalog before! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Sarah Logan says:

That watermelon dress is TOO cute!

  3. Dena Vieira says:

I love the plaid jumper. How cute!

  4. The Madras ruffle top dress is the cutest thing! I would love that for my daughter.

  5. I would totally pick the plaid romper for my little guy and the plaid jumper for big sister. So cute!

  6. I am totally in line with the other Cheryl who posted. The star clogs are really cute as is the watermelon dress that my 4 year old would love! I saw a lot of things on the site that we could use. The rash guards would be great for our Northern California beaches. The vine dress would be darling also especially since my son could wear the matching shorts! Thanks for sharing!

  7. The Stripe Dress in the Americana section is just the kind of thing my daughter likes to wear. She’s definitely a dress girl, though sometimes I can get her into a skort (as long as it’s ‘shaky’ as opposed to a straight cut). Thanks for telling us about CWD Kids!

  8. between beauty says:

I really love the dinosaur tie-dyed t-shirt. My son LOVES dinosaurs right now and I like tie-dye.

The “you are my sunshine shirt” is so precious and brings back memories for me as a chil,d as my parents sang that song to me as I do to my son as well. So sweet! I would love to win.

  9. I used to get their catalog. It’s hard to decide which dress I like most. My almost 6 year old is pretty decisive on what she likes. I think the Dip-Dye Dress or the Sunshine Dress would be great, and she’d love them too! We sing “You Are My Sunshine” every night, changing the last line just a bit. Thanks for the contest.

  19. The microfiber shorts and pants look terrific for camping and hiking. I also love the peace sign shirts.

  20. Their clothes are soo cute :) Love the girls flag tank suit! My little chicken would look soo cute this summer!

    Hope I win :)

  21. Wow, I love the guitar tee and the madras shorts. Too adorable!

  22. I loved the cute madras shorts and a plain navy pocket tee for my little guy. What says summer better?

  23. Love the Retro Daisy Peasant Top paired with Dot Cropped Leggings!! My daughter is in a 12 almost 14 now, so I don’t have much longer to buy kids. :( It was hard enough finding appropriate things in girls. Not looking forward to juniors! Especially when she is only 8! So tall for her age. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  24. I love CWD, we always enjoy their catologs and seasonal clothes as well as their always in stock Ralph Lauren clothing. My son would love that guitar tee by Mulberribush for 4th of July, he’d like it anytime actually. Oh the watermelon dress is so cute. With 4 kids, I love that I can mix and match them there, too…. always great selections.

  25. I had never heard of CWD, this is my first exposure to them, but I am always looking for play-time friendly and modest outfits.

I love love love the watermelon dress. It is so classic, summery and reminds me of eating fresh 4th of July watermelon!

Thank you so much for helping me find awesome options for my sweet pea!

    Kaye

  26. My five year old (going on 15) would look so cute in the watermelon dress and my two year old twin boys would love two baseball shirts with coordinating shorts. So perfect for our neighborhood bike/trike parade! Leslie

  27. I totally agree….little girls should look like little girls. I love Anita G’s mixed print dresses! Thanks for the fabulous givewaway. I love this site!

  28. My son is begging me for the tie-dye baseball Tshirt. I like it too. It’s my favorite.

  29. Wow — how do you ever choose a favorite?!?! I have a 2, 4 and 6 year old that I can still dress in matching outfits on occassion :) I think the Plaid Jumper and Romper are adorable — so cool and comfy!!! (Item J845 and J844)

  30. I love the flag stripe guitar tee and the glow in the dark lightning bug tee. And since we are always being asked if our boys are twins, the number tees or the big/little brother tees would be fun (they are 15 months apart).

What a great give away — thanks.

  31. I love the Sea Life Dress & the Patriotic Dots Capri Set. Cute! Thanks for letting me know about this great made in the US co too!

  32. The sparkler cupcake is adorable, but the watermelon dress is my favorite. Oh my gosh, how cute is that???? I agree with you about the pajamas – I always have to order mine because it it so hard to find any in stores that aren’t full of chemicals, or have a pop star’s face all over them! Why should seven year old girls dress like teenagers? That will come soon enough, thank you!

  33. Meredith says:

Madras romper is my favorite. It just looks like summer!

  34. Love the watermelon dress. Cute stuff!

  35. Love the Dot Halter Dress! Way too cute!

  36. The Liberty Tank Dress looks cool, patriotic, and fun. What I like about CWDKids in general (and I’ve been a customer for years) is that they have slightly more traditional clothes, so that I don’t have to dress my grade-school daughter like a Paris Hilton wannabe.
