Summer days are winding down here in the United States and we’re preparing to go back to school, with some parts of the country already in class. This is the time for soaking up the last few sunny days of Summer and preparing to jump back into school with enthusiasm.
I’ve rounded up some ideas for playing, learning, and exploring this month.

- Brush up on number recognition skills and cool off at the same time with some water balloon target practice
- Paint rainbows with ice cubes

Great roundup. We are definitely getting back into a fall rhythm around here, though we are still trying to take advantage of the nice weather!

Awesome list, Kara. I just picked up some water balloons, and have been thinking about setting up a target practice. We did this with the alphabet when my oldest was 2.5 — so much fun. Thanks for including our mud kitchen. It gets soooo much use.
family transportation day! farmers market! can we still berry pick??!!
