New Veggie Tales Adventure {giveaway}

Boldly going where no Veggie has gone before, Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato, two of the most recognized home entertainment characters, take on the heroic theme of space exploration in their new roles as Captain Cuke and Mr. Spork (I know, this mama’s inner sci-fi nerd is dying here).

In the movie Veggies in Space: the Fennel Frontier, Bob and Larry share an out-of-this-world adventure with an important lesson in sharing.

My son Max, age 7, has been really interested in the vlogging I’ve been doing lately and he asked if he could make a video, too.  I thought this would give him a perfect chance to do that, so here is Max the movie critic with his two minute thoughts on Veggies in Space: the Fennel Frontier:

If you’re reading this via email you may have to visit the blog to view.

The fun continues with numerous DVD bonus features including sing-along songs for two catchy tunes,  “Asteroid Cowboys” and “Enough to Share” (performed by Junior Asparagus in the show). Jamie Grace fans can also enjoy her rendition of the song in a special “Enough to Share” lyric video, as well as watch exclusive behind the scenes footage of her in the studio during the recording. After their musical jam session, Veggie fans can check out other bonus features, such as a craft tutorial on building a spaceship just like Bob and Larry’s.

  1. I would share a sandwich with Joey Tribiani from Friends, because he knows how to do a sandwich right!

  2. I’d share it with my mom because we have similar tastes in sandwiches.

  3. Jesus? Or for a person alive on Earth right now, the Pope?

  4. If I had to share a sandwhich with anyone, I’d probably pick one of my favorite authors : Sandra Cisneros, while telling her to write another book already!
    Sarah M

  5. If I could share a sandwich with anyone it would be my best friend Nikki. But she lives in California and I’m in Ontario, so it’s only a wish.

  6. My baby, since she would take 10 minutes to eat a third a slice of bacon and I could have the rest.

  7. I want to share a big sandwich with JessieLeigh, one of my blogging friends. We’ve only met IRL once and I feel like I could use some of her sage advice in person right now!

  8. I’d share it with a certain kindred spirit I left behind when we moved to a new town. <3

  9. Kristy B says:

My mom! She’s in CA and I’m in GA and I don’t get to see her enough.

  10. If I could share a “gluten free” sandwich with anyone, I would choose my sister in-law Kiki who passed away almost 4 years ago at the young age of 36. I miss her and would love the chance to have lunch with her again :)

  11. The Love of my life! My hubby! What’s his is mine and what’s mine is mine? 😉 I’m kidding! He’s very giving when it comes to sharing a sandwich and vice versa! :)

  12. With my hubby, my best friend of course :)

  13. I would share with my friend, Mary.

  14. Cynthia Fetner says:

I would share it with my son. Some of the best conversations we have had are when we are together eating.

  15. Bree Mooney says:

I would share a sandwich with my husband (although Joey Tribiani is a great answer!).

  16. If it could be anyone, even someone who has passed on, I’d love to speak with my Grandma again. She didn’t get to meet my husband or children and I’d love that. If someone alive now, my mother cos we live on opposite coasts!

  17. My daughter Jada as neither one of us like veggies (except for Veggie Tales) and so we won’t get veggies our sandwich and then have to pick them off. If I could cut it into thirds, I’d also share with my mom who recently passed away – she loves veggies and would often give us a hard time for not eating ours. :)

  18. Definitely my husband … and I know the sandwich. There’s a great deli in Norfolk, VA where they make GIANT pastrami sandwiches … we loved them when we lived there. My mouth is watering!

  19. There’s no question who I would pick. I’d share a big sandwich with my parents.

  20. My preteen sons! They are usually hungry!

  21. I’d share with my 5 year old. He’s starting school in the fall and I’m already missing hanging out with him each day. Plus, he’s the most adventurous eater in our family, so we could get something yummy.

  22. Stephanie S says:

If I could share a sandwich with anyone right now it would be my friend Sarah. We live across the state from eachother and although we try to talk by phone every week, I miss not being able to sit down for lunch with her.

  23. I’d share it with my son, Noah. He always has so much to say that I could just listen, nod, chew and smile.

  24. Teresa Clark says:

I would love to share a sandwich with Robin Roberts. Or Bob and Larry from the Veggie Tales. :)

  25. I’d share a sandwich with my hubby- he’s the only one I don’t feel self-conscious around when getting chunks of lettuce stuck in my teeth!

  26. my hubby for sure.

  27. Rachel Farmer says:

I would share a big sandwich with my three kiddos. We could all have a fourth and call it a math lesson. :)

  28. I would share a big sandwich with my hubby! After making a sandwich that is a result of my eyes being bigger than my belly, he is always willing to help me finish!

  29. Emily Higgins says:

If sharing my sandwich means we are guaranteed to be with that person I would share it with a complete stranger in another country. No another continent. What an adventure that would be. Plus I’d be able to start the story with “Well I had this sandwich I wanted to share…”

  30. The Fennel Frontier, ha! This is not the world’s most creative answer, but it’s true: I would share a big sandwich with my husband. In my imagination, the sandwich comes with magic quieting abilities so everyone else is busy and happy and we can eat the whole thing without interruption. ;D

  31. I would share it with my hubby!

  32. If I could eat a sandwich with anyone I would choose my dad, he has so much wisdom and I love spending time with him. My 8 year old son would choose George Washington and my 6 year old daughter would like to eat with Abraham Lincoln.

  33. Tony Bennett or Rod Stewart or Amy Grant. I realize each represents a totally different musical style and background. But, the conversation and opportunity would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m imagining what I’d say or do if it really happened. Speechless!!!

  34. My youngest son who just turned 4. He just told me a few days ago that he loves sandwiches! Unfortunately, he’s never had one! He has multiple severe food allergies and can’t eat regular bread (wheat!) or GF bread (eggs!). I’d LOVE to share a sandwhich with him!!

  35. I would share with any one of my kids…I guess if I was really hungry I may leave the 13 year old boy out of the equation!

  36. Christyn says:

My husband and my boys. Hopefully it would help them to realize how much I love them and am willing to sacrifice and share with them! :)

  37. Jen Dowler says:

Anyone but my twins because they would eat it all. Just kidding. I would probably say my mom. Whenever we go out to eat, we usually end up splitting a meal since we have similar tastes and appetites.

  38. I would share with my friend Erx who lives in Singapore because I don’t get to see her very often, and I would get all the bacon and ham from the sandwich since she doesn’t like them! :)

  39. I would share a sandwich with my great-grandmother, after whom my daughter is named.

  40. Angie Alston says:

I would share a big sandwich with my daughter Kaitlyn because I know it would get me a great big, “Thank you Mommy!”
