Weekend Links – Feed. Play. Love., the April Action Pack, and more!

Feed. Play. Love.

Part of my plans for the month of April include calling in to listen to .  The virtual conference is FREE to register for and listen to live and has been organized by Donna Ashton and Kiva Leatherman.

They have got some really wonderful speakers lined up – I know I am especially looking forward to Kim John Payne, Sharifa Oppenheimer, and Malika Chopra.

From the :

“You will receive access to our full lineup of authors, speakers and experts via conference line or online! And the best thing about this conference? It’s FREE!

Don’t worry if you can’t listen live – all of the calls will be accessible for 48 hours.

You will also receive a FREE workbook that you can use throughout the conference to help you implement the ideas and strategies from our experts.

Finally, all of our attendees will receive a Virtual Gift Bag for attending. We know how much we love the “goodie bags” from conferences! Why should this be any different!”

Each week of the conference has a theme: week one is Feed, about nurturing ourselves and our children. Week two is about Play and creativity. Week three will focus on Love.

April 2011 Action Pack

Did you see?  Whip Up has done it again:  the new Action Pack mini-mag for “kids who like to do stuff” is out and this month”s issue is all about seeds and beads.  How fun!

The pdf magazine is printable from your home computer, contains no ads (always a plus to me when searching for publications for my kids), and sells for $5.

Guess what? Kathreen has kindly offered a discount code for Simple Kids readers who wish to purchase the April Action Pack:

For 20% off the purchase price, use discount code APsimplekids0005

Code is valid for 50 uses or 2 days (so get in early)

After a string of busy weekends and a kind of topsy turvy week, we”ve been enjoying a nice relaxing weekend at home in our pajamas reading our favorite books and watching a certain Indiana basketball team with an adorable mascot on tv. What have you been up to with your kids this weekend?
